In this assignment I had to create a memo to the vice president of marketing listing some of the interesting demographics in table form. The technology skills I had to use in the assignment was insertion of tables, modifying the tables, and applying shading to the cells of the tables. What I learned while doing this assignment was how to modify and adjust tables to make it more visually appealing and how to insert all the minor things to a table like shading, bordering, indenting...etc. Some things I think I did well in this assignment is inserting the tables and applying the shading and borders, and also typing the paragraphs in the correct form. Some things I would need to improve on in the assignment is adjusting the cells to the exact measurements and placing the tables in the right places throughout the document because in my opinion I think the smaller second table towards the bottom is a little off of where it actually is supposed to be.
31 Voyager
In this assignment I had to create a traveler's newsletter about Voyager Travel Adventures. The technology skills used in this assignment was Microsoft Publisher, typing skills, and the insertion of boxes/text boxes. What I learned while doing this assignment was how to actually use Microsoft Publisher and how to add or delete components on my template. I also learned how to pick out a theme that goes with the topic I'm writing about. What I did well in this assignment was picking out the perfect theme for the occasion I am writing about and how to insert columns to put my text in. I also feel I put the picture in the right spot because it looks like it belongs in the letter, it certainly does not look like it came out of the blue. Things I could do differently or improve on is to balance out the text, white spaces, and other content to make it all look neat instead of confusing and messy. Another thing I could improve on in this assignment is to space out the text in the columns. I think this because it would look better and less confusing if each of the three topics discussed in the article had its own column instead of some of the other topics being mixed in with the other column.
12 Teen U.S.A. Payroll
In this assignment, I had to make a spreadsheet for Teen U.S.A. to compute payroll amounts for its employees. The technolgy I used in this was formulas to multiply, add, and subtract numbers, use parentheses in formulas, use a formula that refrences the answer to another cells formula, and change margins. What I learned and accomplished by completing this assignment was how to do formulas better and how to drag them down the colomn so it copy's down to all the cells of your choice. What I did well in this assignment was color cordinationg the columns and making them stand out and how accurate I was with the name and numbers. What I could improve in this assignment is maybe adding a little more color and to double check my work because I usually skip this step since I assume it is all correct.
Career Research Project
In this assignment, I researched careers suited for me according to a test I had taken earlier. The technology skills I had to use in this assignment was the snipping tool to take a picture of my test results, answer a series of questions about each career, find two colleges that specialize in this career, and make a table organizing this information. What I learned how to do in this assignment was how to find a college by simply going to a website and filtering the specifics you want the college to have. I also learned how to reaseach different careers. What I did well in this assignment is putting alot of information about each career and explaining throughly everything there is to know about that specific career title. What I could improve on in this assigment is organization. Yes, I delivered all the information required but I wasn't too succesful in putting the information in a neat fashion.
