19 Grand Flyer
In this assignment, I was asked to create a flyer announcing the grand opening of a new cafe. I created a flyer using the formatting techniques I have learned so far. I also inserted symbols to enhance the flyer and give it visual interest. The technology skills I had to use in this assignment was using different symbols, font themes, color schemes, and font sizes. While during this piece of work I have accomplished many things. I am now capable of inserting symbols into a text document to make it more visually appealling. I have also learned how to tab words in the text by simply using the ruler at the top of the document. As silly as that may I sound I did not know how to do that before. Even though most of the requirements in this assignment were new to me, I belive have done at least a couple of things exceptionally well. Like my ability to identify the colors and apply it to the text and how fast I typed it all out. But I have also done somethings I might need to improve on. Like my spacing because its hard to know when to use double or single spaces throughout the document. Also my indentation and tabbing need work.
31 Web
In this assignment, I had to create a Web page document. The technology skills I had to use to complete the assignment was inserting hyperlinks and saving the document as a single file web page which I have never done before so that obviously was a first. I also had to insert a heading at the top of the document for the title 'Michigan Avenue Athletic Club.' Another technolgy skill I had to use was to give the document a background so that it enhances the document. What I learned in this assignment was how to save a document using the single file web page option and how to apply a heading to make the document look more professional and visually appealing. What I did well in this assigenment was inserting the hyperlink with ease and formatting the text correctly. What I could improve in the assignment is maybe to go back and read the directions from the book and tweek the document the way the book says to instead of just looking at the illustration and copying it.
